From personal practice to a national movement
Michelle's path started close to home. As a young adult, yoga and mindfulness gave her the tools to manage her own mental health — and when she noticed signs of anxiety in her son, she began sharing those same practices with him. Watching his emotional regulation and happiness transform inspired her to build something bigger: a company that could bring that same relief to children everywhere.
She founded Little Yogis Academy in 2019, and it has since grown into Canada's leading kids' yoga and mindfulness company, delivering programming in schools, childcares, camps and community organizations nationwide. In 2023, she launched Busy Minds Education, expanding her work into mindful movement, dance and gym programming for K–8 schools.
Michelle's vision is to see wellness curriculum in every school, so children grow up more resilient to life's stresses. Her mission: to make the world a kinder place through early intervention — arming the youngest learners with tools to cope, thrive and feel good, from toddlers to teens.
“If we arm our youngest learners with the tools to cope, we can change the well-being of an entire generation.”

Why Michelle does this work
"I still remember watching my son find calm for the first time using a breathing trick I taught him. That moment changed the whole direction of my life. Now I get to bring that same moment to thousands of kids across the country — and honestly, it never gets old."
— Michelle Faber, Founder & Director"Michelle had our entire school — kids and teachers — laughing, breathing and completely engaged. Best assembly we've ever had."
— Elementary school principal, Toronto"My daughter talks about 'Miss Michelle' all the time. She actually asks to do her breathing exercises before bed now."
— Little Yogis parent"Michelle brought so much warmth and energy to our conference. Every educator in the room walked away with tools they could use the next day."
— Conference organizerA workshop performance kids never forget
Michelle doesn't just teach a workshop — she performs one. Songs, games, movement and giggles woven right into the mindfulness, so kids are fully engaged from the first pose to the last breath. Schools bring her back year after year because the energy she brings is impossible to replicate.
It's the assembly that makes teachers happy and kids beg for more.
